When designing and manufacturing custom products for specific applications, attention to the smallest details is crucial at every step of the process. Sherle Wagner’s engineering team was in constant communication with everyone involved in the Union Square West project— from the designer to the various contractors.

We worked closely with the contractors to ensure everything ran smoothly. Our team made numerous on-site visits, helped with installation issues, and made any necessary last-minute tweaks or adjustments. This was all done quickly and efficiently. A key part of the client experience with Sherle Wagner is our unparalleled service.

Sherle Wagner also offers a flexibility and responsiveness that others can not match. The shower doors in Union Square West were originally designed with a hole cut in the glass instead of a handle. Late in the project, Vicente Wolf revised his thinking and asked Sherle Wagner to create a pull for the doors. Not only did we create and manufacture a custom pull that fit with the rest of the design, we were able to turn it around quickly to meet the rush deadline.

For the Union Square West project, Sherle Wagner created a series of new faucet lines and accessories for the entire building. Each of the 36 apartments features a selection of products, including 20 fixtures, 3 basin sets, door knobs, and door levers. Nickel, pewter, and patina finishes were developed to give these products the appropriate luster.

Traditionally people have wanted to customize their own bathrooms and kitchens. But in recent years, this trend has reversed. Developers now routinely install high-end bathrooms to help sell apartments. Realtors Brown Harris Stevens affirm that the Sherle Wagner fixtures were one of the selling points for the units at 15 Union Square West. Judging from the success of this project, custom partnerships between designers and Sherle Wagner could become the optimal choice for developers of distinction.
